New technique in diagnostic accuracy

In recent years, organized breast centers have used a new assisted diagnosis system (iCAD), which significantly helps in increasing the accuracy of mammographies. This system, which is integrated in the digital mammography, is used in the “Diagnostic Mammogram Center” so that all mammograms performed here are also studied in electronic form allowing a more accurate diagnosis. According to literature this iCAD system allows an improvement of almost 20% in the detection of more cancers in screening and diagnostic patients.
